Terms and Conditions
Our core terms and conditions remain unchanged since 2014, but have been updated in 2020 to reflect new health and safety provision from August 2020.
All students who enter a class for a trial, or as a full member, do so on the basis that they and their parent or guardian (if under 18), agree to these terms.
All information is strictly confidential, and is kept on encrypted databases . You can read our GDPR policy on this website.
We do not share data, with the exception of our college students, who are also students of our funders Big Creative Education. The only other exception is for Track and Trace, and only if specifically asked by the UK government.
Attending classes after a free trial is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions. You will be asked to physically or e-sign a copy, and a copy shared on your parent portal account online.
Terms and Conditions of participation in an Artemis class, and Covid-19 Declaration (updated august 2020).
Upon registering as a student, after a free two week trial*, participants become a permanent member* of Artemis Studios, on the courses in which they have enrolled. (*Holiday courses excluded)
All fees are payable termly, in advance; students may be excluded from classes if their fees have not been paid. Split payments must be arranged/agreed in advance. Full fee information, and any uniform, exam or membership fee costs can be found on the specific class page on the website, and in our printed brochure. It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of any fees before accepting a place.
There is no reduction for any classes missed during a course unless the course/class is fully cancelled. We reserve the right to switch to online sessions if needed - and will run additional ‘catch up’ classes in person as soon as possible. Most classes run sessions above and beyond the core fee paid hours including extra free rehearsals/practices/shows and competitions.
Any student joining mid way during a term will be charged the fee for the remainder of the term only.
Half a term's notice must be given, in writing to registration@artemis-studios.co.uk if a student wishes to be withdrawn from classes in the following term. Notice must be given at or before the half term break of the current term, or half a term's fees will be charged in lieu of notice.
Students will be automatically invoiced at the end of each term for the subsequent term.Tutors and events are booked a term or more in advance and we need accurate numbers of students to ensure appropriate staffing.
Uniform is compulsory for Saturday courses and should be worn at all times. Appropriate dance/sports wear must be worn for Hip Hop and Cheer classes.
Anyone entering Artemis Studios or applying for courses at Artemis Studios is bound by the Company rules, regulations and policies and may only do so subject to, and upon this basis.
The activities of the company are of a physical nature and whether participating in Artemis activities or using the studios or equipment for any activity whatsoever; the Company accepts no liability for any physical injury, loss or damage to persons, or for loss of property occurring on the premises, unless negligence is proven.
Commencement on any class is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.
DECLARATION
1.I have read and understood the terms and conditions of participation in any class at Artemis Studio Ltd, and I understand full policies may be read and are available from the studios and on our web site at www.artemis-studios.co.uk
2. I declare that I or my child(ren) do not knowingly have Covid-19. We do not currently have symptoms, nor does any other person in our household. We will inform Artemis immediately if this changes. We are not currently isolating and have not recently returned from a destination which would require us to be in current isolation. I/we will provide PPE for myself/my child(ren) as required by the law, and agree to follow instructions for the prevention of spreading the virus while with Artemis.
