Who is it for?

Our juniors are amazing. They are a bubbly outgoing group who embrace new cast members and immerse them in their company.

Our programme is designed for young performers aged 8-14 who are passionate about the arts. Whether your child is a confident performer or enjoys working behind the scenes, we provide tailored training that challenges and inspires. Students take part in professional-quality productions, with opportunities to work towards LAMDA and RSL Musical Theatre exams. In 2024, 100% of our students achieved Merits or Distinctions!

  • 3 hours per week, plus spring and summer shows!

  • RSL Musical Theatre Exams (summer)

  • Madagascar - March 2025 - Wilde Theatre

  • Junior Showcase July 2025

  • Artemis at 18 Festival June 2025

  • FREE school trip to watch the South Hill Park pantomime 30th November 2024

  • Ofsted registered - we accept Childcare Vouchers

  • Discounts on holiday workshops (and first refusal on paid for events)

  • Progression - move up to the teen company when old enough, with a progression plan before moving up.

  • Clear progression targets - track all the effort put in by the young performers.

  • Our year 8/9 learners can attend 2 hours of Medusa (teen company) intensive workshops 3 times a year, taught by guest and Artemis college staff. These happen outside normal class times, usually on a Sunday.

  • The Juniors are aged 8-14, a mix of boys and girls. Some have loads of experience and like to be at the centre of things, others are quieter and like to have fewer lines in shows but help with costume, props, directing, choreography and technical aspects. They are one big happy family who support and mentor one another.

We work as one junior company for most of the session, but sometimes join with Medusa Young Company (our teens and young adults) on more advanced technique sessions, rehearsals and exams (when taken).

Students can opt to take group exams in summer term - the exam training is included in the class fees.

Once they reach 14, our oldest cast have the option to move up into Medusa (subject to spaces being available). They can take part in Medusa companyclass for free in the half term they officially turn 14, and then move up fully after their next Junior Company show is complete.

All new members are offered a FREE two week trial.
