e-Programme

Welcome to our show!

And welcome to our online programme. We are only creating paper programmes this season for shows lasting 4 performances or more - this is to reduce our use of paper and printing. It is also a more dynamic way of working - if you check back here in a couple of weeks, we will have uploaded show photos and videos for you to enjoy and share!

MTI have licensed this special show, to be used by musical theatre companies and schools across the U.K as a celebration of a return to the stage. They have not charged any fees for the materials or performances. They hope it will go some way to help in the recovery of theatre companies like ours, who lost more than a year of revenues during all the lockdowns and with restrictions which made it impossible to safely work.

Since lockdown lifted in July - we have been fortunate enough to be able to get straight back on stage - after almost a year without a performance. We returned in July with a socially distanced and sold out Beauty and the Beast in the Wilde Theatre, followed by a postponed Godspell in the Coach House at South Hill Park.

Artemis were fortunate to have received help from the Arts Council during the autumn of 2020 - help which enabled us to run classes online for free, to provide free videos that were used nationally by 28 senior schools to help deliver classes online, and to keep all our staff employed on their usual salaries.

We are working tonight with The Arts Centre, Hounslow, who are allowing us to use the space at very reduced rates. After all expenses - all surplus will go into our fundraiser to purchase microphone equiptment for our young people to use in shows. We currently rent most of our microphones and spend £1000’s a year doing so.

We hope you enjoy this jukebox of hits, presented by current Saturday students from Medusa Young Company, alumni and even staff! Artemis is a wonderful, warm community of performers, and we are blessed that so many of our alumni return as staff, and indeed come back to support us in shows and events and act as industry ambassadors for us.
