Walt Disney World Performance Experience

For over a decade, Artemis performers have had the incredible opportunity to travel to Florida to perform live at Walt Disney World Resort. Since our first trip in 2014, our Disney teams have created unforgettable performances, made lifelong friendships and experienced the magic of performing on one of the world's most iconic stages.

Our performers don't just visit Disney – they become part of it.

Alongside rehearsals, performances and workshops, our casts enjoy time together in the Disney Parks, creating memories that last a lifetime.

Thank you for an amazing experience that has, without trying to sound cheesy, honestly changed my life!

Our Next Disney Adventure

We're delighted to confirm that another Artemis Disney performance trip is planned for 2027.

Full details, audition dates and rehearsal schedules will be released soon.

Follow our social media channels or keep checking this page for updates.

Who can apply?

Our Disney casts are selected through audition and are open to performers aged approximately 12–24.

We usually create two performance teams:

Dance Cast

Designed for highly skilled dancers across a range of styles, creating a high-energy showcase for Disney audiences.

Musical Theatre Cast

Designed for strong singers and musical theatre performers, featuring ensemble numbers alongside opportunities for featured soloists and small groups.

Some performers may be invited to contribute to both productions where appropriate, although the demands of performing in Florida mean most performers specialise in one principal cast.

Selection is based on much more than talent. We also look for:

  • Excellent attitude

  • Teamwork

  • Reliability

  • Ability to take direction

  • Commitment to rehearsals

  • Good attendance and punctuality

  • Readiness to perform as part of a professional company

Our Creative Team

Our Disney productions are led by an experienced creative team drawn from Artemis College and Artemis Studios.

Carla Crowley

Head of Dance at Artemis College and Team England choreographer, Carla leads the artistic vision for our dance company, creating exciting, high-level performance work for the Disney stage.

Joseph Hannay

Artemis College graduate, performer and director, Joseph works across both productions, supporting performers throughout rehearsals and helping both casts reach their full potential.

Additional creative staff and tutors are announced for each individual trip.

Supporting the trip - Niki Robinson (CEO and Disney vlogger!), Rosie Hill (Artemis College Principal and theatre director) and Keir Buist (award winning theatre director, actor and Artemis show director) complete the line up to ensure the talent shine in the sun!

The Disney Experience

Every Disney trip is unique, but previous casts have enjoyed experiences including:

  • Performing live at Walt Disney World Resort

  • Disney workshops with Disney professionals

  • Staying at Disney Resort hotels

  • Time in all four Disney Parks

  • Cast photo opportunities

  • Exclusive performance merchandise

  • Shopping excursions

  • Lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories

Many former cast members describe the trip as one of the highlights of their performing careers.

Several performers from previous trips have later gone on to train professionally and some have even been noticed for future opportunities while in Florida. Whilst this can never be guaranteed, the experience provides valuable insight into performing at an international level.

Information about the trip to Disney - May 2026

Rehearsals

Successful performers should expect a significant commitment in the months leading up to travel.

Previous trips have included:

  • Regular Sunday rehearsals

  • Intensive rehearsal weekends

  • School holiday rehearsals

  • Preview performances

  • Costume fittings

  • Photo shoots

Exact rehearsal schedules vary from year to year and are released once casts have been selected.

Travelling with Artemis

We understand that different performers have different needs.

In previous years we have offered two ways to take part:

Independent Travel

Many families choose to arrange their own flights and accommodation whilst their performer joins Artemis for all rehearsals, performances and scheduled Disney activities.

All performers aged under 16 must travel with a parent or guardian.

Group Travel

Older performers may be able to travel as part of the Artemis group, staying in shared accommodation with staff supervision throughout the trip.

Whether travelling independently or with Artemis, every performer is expected to attend all scheduled rehearsals, performances and official activities.

Previous Costs (for guidance only)

International travel costs change every year due to flights, accommodation and Disney pricing.

To help families plan ahead, previous trips have typically involved:

  • A non-refundable deposit once a place has been accepted.

  • Monthly payment plans.

  • Different pricing for independent family travel and Artemis group travel.

Recent trips have ranged from approximately:

  • £800–£900 for performers travelling independently with family (excluding flights and accommodation).

  • £1,900–£2,100 for performers travelling as part of the Artemis group (including flights and Disney accommodation).

These figures are provided for guidance only and should not be taken as an indication of future pricing.

Time Commitments

A Disney performance trip is a significant commitment both financially and in terms of rehearsal time.

Families should expect preparation to begin many months before travel, with rehearsals continuing throughout the autumn and spring before departure.

We encourage anyone considering auditioning to discuss availability with family before applications open.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can performers under 16 travel without their family?

No. Performers aged under 16 must travel with a parent or legal guardian.

Can parents come if their child is over 16?

Absolutely. Many families choose to travel independently and enjoy Disney alongside the Artemis group.

Will I automatically get a place if I audition?

No. Places are offered following auditions and depend on the standard required for each year's production.

Can non-Artemis members audition?

In many cases, yes. Details of eligibility are released with each audition process.

What happens if I accept a place on the trip and then can't go?

You are still liable for the cost, unless another comparable cast member can take your space.

All costs are shared and already subsidised and Artemis is not able to cover for your expenses.

We are not able to get refunds from suppliers. Airlines do not allow a change of name (3 letter max).

We STRONGLY advise taking out travel insurance at the time of deposit to cover medical but also cancellation if you have to cancel (this is only likely to be for a bereavement or illness).

Parents and friends should NOT book flights or hotels until the trip is 100% confirmed by Disney and Virgin.

Are there discounts for siblings or family?

No. Artemis is already heavily subsidising the cost of the trip and bootcamps.
