FAQ

Can parents watch the auditions?
No - sorry - all new members must be able to work without a parent present. There is a cafe in Tesco next door where parents can wait.

Will I need to attend the whole session?
Yes - if you are offered a role - you will need to attend at the same times every week (holidays excluded) until the show in July.

Is there a fee to audition?
Nope - totally free.

Is there a fee to join Junior or Medusa Theatre Companies?
Yes - we do offer split payments, accept cards and childcare vouchers. Our fees include all rehearsals (with extended days in the half term before the show), costumes, one to one tution where needed. The only other costs are a uniform tee shirt (Junior Company) and tickets to watch the show.

Can 4 year olds audition?*
Yes - if they are nearly 5 and can manage the full 10.30-1.45 schedule.

Can parents be involved?
It is encouraged! Parents who want to help can obtain a chaperones license (we can help with this) and help with final weekend rehearsals and on the days of the show. We also need helpers for our costume lady (who wil be making more than 200 costumes!), set construction and de-construction on the show week. We are always on the look out for parents or grandparents to help run fundraising stall at events - to pay for free summer school and support bursary places. We have a lovely community of parents who give as much or little time as they can to help and be part of the Artemis family with their children.
