Jade brings a decade of dedicated passion to the sport of cheerleading, with five years devoted to honing her craft at Artemis. Her extensive background encompasses both experience with children aged 8months - 15 years and a significant coaching tenure. As a coach, Jade is steadfast in her commitment to providing equal opportunities for all athletes under her guidance, fostering an environment where they can realize their full potential and aspirations. Paramount to her coaching philosophy is the unwavering emphasis on athlete safety and well-being.
Having graduated from university with a second-class (upper division) bachelor's degree with honours in Sport and Exercise Science, Jade possesses a comprehensive understanding of the psychological, physiological, nutritional, and biomechanical factors influencing athletic progression and well-being. She consistently applies this knowledge to elevate her coaching profession. Currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Applied Sport Psychology, Jade is actively broadening her expertise within the sporting context.
Jade's academic pursuits align with her commitment to understanding the intricacies of athlete well-being. Her undergraduate dissertation, centred on body image and the impact of perfection pressures on elite-level cheerleading, serves as a testament to her dedication. With a vision for the future, Jade aims to leverage her master’s studies to further explore and address emerging challenges, ultimately aspiring to become a qualified sports psychologist. Informed by her research, Jade possesses a nuanced understanding of how various factors can either positively or negatively affect an athlete's well-being. Her goal is to proactively employ this knowledge at Artemis, preventing and mitigating issues to ensure the holistic development of the athletes under her guidance.
