Walt Disney World Performance Experience

For over a decade, Artemis performers have had the incredible opportunity to travel to Florida to perform live at Walt Disney World Resort. Since our first trip in 2014, our Disney teams have created unforgettable performances, made lifelong friendships and experienced the magic of performing on one of the world's most iconic stages.

Our performers don't just visit Disney – they become part of it.

Alongside rehearsals, performances and workshops, our casts enjoy time together in the Disney Parks, creating memories that last a lifetime.

“Thank you for an amazing experience that has, without trying to sound cheesy, honestly changed my life!”

Our Next Disney Adventure

We're delighted to confirm that another Artemis Disney performance trip is planned for 2027!

Thursday 27th May to Wednesday 2nd June (land in the UK early Wed)

AUDITIONS for 2027

21st October, 4pm-6pm South Hill Park Arts Centre - Booking essential!

Come to our audition workshop on 21st October 2026 and try out for the performance trip of a lifetime!

Book a place, and then come along ready to work at 4pm sharp (suggest arrival 15 mins ahead).

You will be asked to dance, sing and talk to staff at the audition. Please dress to be comfortable. Singers who are interested in solos should be prepared to sing solo as required by the musical director.

Parents can ask questions at the end of the session.

Places will be offered by the end of the week after the auditions. At the start of the session you wil be asked to sign a form declaring your intent to accept or decline a place if offered, and that you have read and understood the costs and options.

Please note - South Hill Park now charges for parking - parents or friends who are waiting are welcome to use the cafe and other facilities, but please make sure to pay for parking, or park elsewhere.

Who can apply?

Our Disney casts are selected through audition and are open to performers aged approximately 12–24.

In 2027 we will be looking for a blended team of dancers and musical theatre singers to form a cast of 26-30 performers.

Dancers

Designed for highly skilled dancers across a range of styles, creating a high-energy showcase for Disney audiences. Dancers will still sing, but not solo.

Musical Theatre performers

Designed for strong confident musical theatre performers, featuring ensemble numbers alongside opportunities for featured soloists, duets and small groups.

Some performers may be invited to both dance and sing where appropriate, although the demands of performing in Florida mean most performers specialise in one area within the showcase.

Selection is based on much more than talent. We also look for:

  • Excellent attitude

  • Teamwork

  • Reliability

  • Ability to take direction

  • Commitment to rehearsals and fellow cast

  • Good attendance and punctuality

  • Readiness to perform as part of a professional company

Our Creative Team

Our Disney productions are led by an experienced creative team drawn from Artemis College and Artemis Studios. More tutor talent will be announced later in 2026! Rehearsals will feature a blend of staff and specialisms ensuring every cast member works with someone who inspires them and draws out their best talents.

Carla Crowley

Head of Dance at Artemis College and Team England choreographer, Carla leads the artistic vision for our dance company, creating exciting, high-level performance work for the Disney stage. This will be Carla’s third time bringing the Artemis cast to the Disney World stage!

Paul Toulson

Musical Director at Artemis College and Artemis Theatre (Junior Theatre Company and Medusa) Paul first joined us for Disney in 2026 and loved it so much he is back again in 2027! Paul has a gift for creating mixes and arrangements with music that wow audiences and performers really love to sing!

Keir Buist

Head of Theatre at Artemis Studios, show director at Artemis College and founder and owner of Three Dot Theatre. Keir is an award winning theatre director, actor and Artemis show director. This will be his third trip to Disney World as part of the Artemis staff crew and he is super excited to run the social media throughout the trip.

Joseph Hannay

Artemis College graduate, performer and director, Joseph works across both dance and musical theatre, supporting performers throughout rehearsals and helping both casts reach their full potential. This is Joe’s third Disney World Artemis trip!

Additional creative staff and tutors are announced for each individual trip.

Supporting the trip - Niki Robinson (CEO and Disney vlogger!), Rosie Hill (Artemis College Principal and theatre director) and Stephen Harrison (Artemis Studios co-founder and CFO, Stephen owns and runs SPH Service working across the world with top talent including Kylie Minogue!) complete the line up to ensure the talent shine in the sun!

The Disney Experience

Every Disney trip is unique, but here is what you can look forward to in 2027…

  • Perform live at Walt Disney World Resort in Disney Springs

  • Stay at a Disney Resort hotel

  • Time in all four Disney Parks

  • Cast photo opportunities

  • Exclusive bespoke performance merchandise

  • Costume you can keep

  • Shopping excursion

  • Lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories

Many former cast members describe the trip as one of the highlights of their performing careers.

Several performers from previous trips have later gone on to train professionally and some have even been noticed for future opportunities while in Florida. Whilst this can never be guaranteed, the experience provides valuable insight into performing at an international level.

Rehearsals

Successful performers should expect a significant commitment in the months leading up to travel.

  • Intensive rehearsal weekends

  • School holiday rehearsals

  • Preview performances

  • Costume fittings

  • Photo shoots

Exact rehearsal schedules vary from year to year.

Rehearsals will mostly be on Sundays in Bracknell, Berkshire. 100% attendance is required.

Rehearsal schedules will be available at the audition, and if offered and accepting a place on the trip you are agreeing to all rehearsals, preview public performance (January 2026) and any other in-person commitment.

Travelling with Artemis

We understand that different performers have different needs.

In previous years we have offered two ways to take part:

Independent Travel - Option A

Cast travelling with family must arrange their own flights/accommodation/transport - but we can offer schools rates for both the hotel (must be the same one the group is using) and park tickets for supporters (a 6 day park hopper with waterparks) as part of our group booking. This is usually quite a large saving. *cast already have a 6 day park ticket included in their fee.

Included in the Option A cast fee are

  • All rehearsals

  • Costume to keep

  • Trip merchandise - inc bespoke tee shirt, jacket, ears, resort mug.

  • 6 day park ticket inc waterparks

  • Performance

  • Unique performance gift from Disney

  • Private bus to/from rehearsal in Disney and the performance

  • Private bus to/from group shopping trip

  • Photos while with the group

  • Any other shared group experience.

Not included in the Option A cast fee: Transport (other than to performance and group shopping), flights, hotel, insurance, visa, food/beverage (other than souvenir resort mug as part of merchandise package).

Families are welcome to stay wherever suits them best, as long as cast are available for all cast calls (often 7am).

All performers aged under 16 must travel with a parent or guardian.

Group Travel - Option B

Older performers (16+) may be able to travel as part of the Artemis group, staying in shared accommodation with staff supervision throughout the trip.

  • All rehearsals

  • Costume to keep

  • Trip merchandise - inc bespoke tee shirt, jacket, ears, resort mug.

  • 6 day park ticket inc waterparks

  • Performance

  • Unique performance gift from Disney

  • Private bus to/from rehearsal in Disney and the performance

  • Private bus to/from group shopping trip

  • Photos while with the group

  • Any other shared group experience.

  • Direct flights to Orlando from London

  • Shared hotel accommodation at a Disney Allstar resort (3 or 4 people per room)

  • Coach from the Orlando airport to the hotel and return

Not included in the Option A cast fee: travel insurance, visa, food/beverage (other than souvenir resort mug as part of merchandise package), transport to and from the UK airport.

Whether travelling independently or with Artemis, every performer is expected to attend all scheduled rehearsals, performances and official activities. You must be prepared for very early starts and very late evenings during the trip. Park and performance days are busy, hot 9up to 35 degrees typically) and noisy (and a lot of fun!).

We are a really inclusive cast, however, when applying for Option B (a chaperoned place), all over 16s MUST complete a declaration and make us aware of any additional needs. Our Safeguarding team will have a chat with you about reasonable adjustments and support. If we are not able to meet your needs (for example requiring a 1:1 adult), we may request a parent or carer travel with you as part of Option A so you can safely enjoy the trip.

Costs (for guidance only)

International travel costs change every year due to flights, accommodation, exchange rates, international fuel costs and Disney pricing.

To help families plan ahead, previous trips have typically involved:

  • A non-refundable deposit once a place has been accepted.

  • Monthly payment plans. In 2027 this includes credit card payment options.

  • Different pricing for independent family travel and Artemis group travel.

Subject to costs at the time of confirming, we expect the 2027 trip to cost:

  • Option A £1000-£1100 for performers travelling independently with family (excluding flights and accommodation, see above).

  • £1,999–£2,150 for performers aged 16+ travelling as part of the Artemis chaperoned group (including Virgin flights and shared Disney resort accommodation - see above).

These figures are provided for guidance only. If the exchange rate fluctuates, we reserve the right to bill in both pounds and dollars to ensure costs are covered.

Time Commitments

A Disney performance trip is a significant commitment both financially and in terms of rehearsal time.

Families should expect preparation to begin many months before travel, with rehearsals continuing throughout the winter and spring before departure.

We encourage anyone considering auditioning to discuss availability with family before applications open.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can performers under 16 travel without their family?

No. Performers aged under 16 must travel with a parent or legal guardian.

Can parents come if their child is over 16?

Absolutely! Many families choose to travel independently and enjoy Disney alongside the Artemis group.

Will I automatically get a place if I audition?

No. Places are offered following auditions and depend on the standard required for each year's production. In 2027 we are looking for a cast of 26-30 performers who will work as a team and be supportive of each other.

Can non-Artemis members audition?

Yes. Absolutely. As long as you meet the other criteria (age/availability etc).

What happens if I accept a place on the trip and then can't go?

You are still liable for the cost.

All costs are shared and already subsidised and Artemis is not able to cover for your expenses.

We are not able to get refunds from suppliers.

Airlines do not allow a change of name (3 letter max). It is your responsibility to ensure all forms are completed fully and with correct spelling.

The only exceptions are possibly the airfare (minus deposit) depending on when cancellation happens, and also your park ticket (again once booked, it is non refundable or transferable). Withdrawal must be in writing, and strict cut off dates will be shared in the audition pack on audition day.

We STRONGLY advise taking out travel insurance at the time of deposit to cover medical but also cancellation if you have to cancel (this is only likely to be for a bereavement or illness).

Parents and friends travelling to support should NOT book flights or hotels until the trip is 100% confirmed by Disney and Virgin.

Sadly, we would need to recover all outstanding costs for anyone dropping out, this may involve a third party as a last resort.

Are there discounts for siblings or family?

No. Artemis is already heavily subsidising the cost of the trip and rehearsals by approximately £15,000. Staff are giving al their time for free, and paying their own way. Artemis is subsidising an additional amount.
