If you love musical theatre, and would like to audition to be part of our 2019 Disneyworld Artemis Showcase cast - sign up now to meet us and show off your talent!

Each year, we take a group of between 21 and 30 performers to Disney World in Florida to perform at Disney Springs on the Waterside Stage for the public! We travel in October Half Term, and enjoy three workshops with Disney Directors, time in the four parks, a shopping trip to outlet shops in a private bus and of course Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party with Trick or Treating for Halloween!

Auditions:

Open to the public, as well as Artemis School and Artemis College students. You need to be aged *13-24 in October 2019, and have a talent in either singing and or dancing. The show is a 25 minute set of big musical theatre numbers. We are a Show Choir - think Glee!

*We can consider younger artisits if they are exceptional dancers or singers, able to keep up with older cast, and have a parent who is willing to travel with them and chaperone them if needed in the USA.

In the audition you will work with our choreographers and musical directors who will be looking for people who have a developed talent - but also those who could be brilliant with some extra training.

You will do a 45 minute singing workshop, 45 minute dancing and then a 30 minute Q&A which parents are welcome to join.

Preparation:

If you would like to be considered for solo lines in the songs, or solo work in the dances (tap is especially useful) - please prepare a 60 second piece of work to show us - or send video links to previous shows. If you are happy to be group or have solos allocated during the rehearsal process then you don't need to worry about prep.

Please note - auditioning for solo work does not guarantee you will be given solos in the final piece. It DOES tell us you would like to solo and are not shy on stage! We try to be fair and give everyone a chance to stand out - but solo work will be based on the songs chosen, and ability of the cast to sing/perform them.

First Rehearsal:

If you are selected and accept a place - prep starts in May 2019 - when the songs will be chosen to sit the cast we have picked. You will be expected to be off book with lyrics before the first rehearsal.

There will be a cast meet and greet in May, where you will also be measured for cast tee shirts and costumes, which will be custom made for you. There will be a photographer there for your first cast pictures!
