fully funded 3 week show course for 16–19*yrs
Throughout the summer holidays we offer teens an intensive musical theatre course for performers. Depending on age and experience, students undertake a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Performing Arts. This is a fully funded course.
This is a very rewarding experience but does require commitment, energy and passion from any young people wanting to take part. There is a large amount of work involved to achieve these qualifications and required standards of performance in such a short space of time. Dates and the full show for 2020 will be released in November 2020 - but are likely to be the last week in July through to the third week in August. Auditions for principal roles will be January 2020.
We can announce we will be working in partnership with a large and well know local arts organisation to deliver this full length summer musical, which will also feature recent musical theatre degree graduates from leading schools as peer mentors.
Who is it for?
Ambitious musical theatre performers who are able to commit to all rehearsals and shows, and able to take a graded exam in Musical Theatre (practical exam, no written work!).
This will be a full length musical, featuring professionals and performed for the public.
The funding is for cast aged 16-18 (or 19, if you had your birthday after 31st August 2019). You must hold a UK or EU passport.
We do not offer accommodation - so you must be able to get to the rehearsals and shows in Bracknell, Berkshire.
Additional sponsored places are available for current members of Artemis Medusa Young Company and Junior Theatre Co aged 13-15. These cast members won’t take any exams (or can if willing to cover the cost) - but will be a full part of the show and all other experiences.
Full information and application packs will be available from here and our college website shortly.
FREE - subject to being 16-19 years old, and a holder of a UK or EU passport.
