School Theatre Trip Time!

Fab actor (and guest tutor) Ben Watson is appearing in 'I Capture the Castle' which is a brand new adaptation of the story in a musical. There is a national tour - and it comes to Oxford (OXFORD PLAYHOUSE) in May.   If you would like to join us and buy a group ticket (£11.50), email info@artemis-studios.co.uk   Tickets are usually £28 so it is a big discount. Suggested age range is teen-adult (it is quite dramatic!).   We will either take the train as a group - or drive (if car shares are possible) depending on numbers. Train fare is at cost (group save rates) and on top of the ticket price.   TRIP DATE: Saturday 20th MAY. Show is 7.30pm. Travel time will depend on how you decide to travel. Members of Medusa will go straight from rehearsal.   ....................................................................................................

ABOUT THE SHOW:

Cassandra is 17. She’s writing a diary about her eccentric family. They are behind with the rent for the tumbledown castle that seemed so romantic when they moved in; the roof is leaking, and the family is surviving on oatcakes and eggs. But the new landlord is a wealthy young American, with an attractive brother. Perhaps things are about to change.   Set in the bohemian England of the 1930s, Dodie Smith’s classic coming-of-age story is thrillingly brought to life on stage in this warm, funny and magical new musical.   This production is presented by Watford Palace Theatre, Octagon Theatre Bolton and Kevin Wallace Limited in association with Deborah Ward.   .................................................................................................     Ben will visit us later in the summer term for another amazing workshop - this is a chance to see him at work.   Email info@artemis-studios.co.uk if you would like to join us!   Chaperones are joining the trip - so Junior Theatre Company and Medusa (younger) members don't need a parent in order to attend.   Parents would need to drop chaperoned teens at either Bracknell train station, or a central meeting point, and collect them also.
