Niki Robinson

Principal & co-owner

As a child, Niki’s ambition was to join the A Team, but when she found out they were actors, decided that was in fact the job for her! She started working as a performer at the age of 9 with her first TV show, and from there trained in acting and musical theatre as a founding student at the B.R.I.T performing arts school in London. She now has over 35 years experience as an actor, and 17 years experience as an arts administrator, education consultant, festival planner, workshop leader, producer and agent.

Niki has a Masters qualification (Applied Theatre) from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Niki is pleased and proud that so many of her graduate students, and young people she has worked with as a producer and facilitator, have gone on to further vocational training and are now arts practitioners themselves. They can be seen on and off stage and screen, and recently (2015) one has won a BAFTA and also been nominated for an Oscar for his animation work!

As well as being principal of Artemis - Niki is a professional producer (currently working on a national tour of The History of Everything (www.historyofeverything.co.uk) and the 2018 Windsor Globe Festival (www.windsorglobe.co.uk). She is also leading the Artemis team in getting the school ready to offer free full time college level courses to students aged 16+ from Sept 2018.
