Guest workshop leaders include West End directors and actors, BBC writers, London Globe directors, casting directors and more. These skills are then applied in L.A.M.D.A acting and musical theatre exams (summer term) and our big spring show, and various public performance events. Some students also join our associated agency and enjoy professional paid work.

Additional Saturday rehearsal hours will be called before a large show, and one or two Sundays.

We still have space for additional 'Oliver!' cast - get in touch NOW!

In depth

Join us for 'Oliver!' in Summer 2017 (rehearsing from January 2017), National Theatre Connections (Reading and London performances) in March 2017 and a winter showcase of fabuolus LAMDA exam work - getting valuable UCAS points for those aged 15+ (duo and solo exams only for UCAS, group exams also offered)

In addition to performing in their shows, students write & devise, direct and produce. Unlike other schools with huge casts, the senior company is kept to a strict 24 cast maximum to allow everyone a voice within the company. Everyone gets a chance at lead roles - we don't have 'favorites' - casting is based on merit! Most of our spring shows are written for us, which allows us to profile everyone well. Our bigger shows are professionally produced and staffed and run over a week to give performers and insight into the rigors of performing.

We work towards shows, events and qualifications, as well as giving a thorough grounding in the essentials. We can help build CV's ready for University and college applications using links with local and national theatre companies and casting directors, as well as our own agency.

Company members work towards L.A.M.D.A acting & musical theatre exams each summer term (with exams taken in December to aviod clashes with school exams). These are nationally recognized qualifications. We have a 100% pass rate at Merit or Distinction. These exams (depending on the level taken) can contribute U.C.A.S points. Students who wish to take solo or duo, in addition to group qualifications, are given one-to one tuition with specialists, as part of their Saturday class. Additional support is offered (free) outside these hours if needed. It is our aim that all our young performers gain Distinctions.

Medusa Theatre Company is taught and directed by established theatre directors, qualified teachers, working actors and guest workshops each term to ensure company members are thoroughly challenged! Our tutors also teach at schools such as R.A.D.A and Royal Central, and one was also is a casting director working on shows like 'Sherlock' with Benedict Cumberbatch.

Join us for a FREE class trial/audition at any point during the term.

Agency representation is also available.
