Stunt Cheer - traditional cheerleading with stunt work. Taught by coach Gemah Allen, who has more than 20 years cheer experience, and is a qualified Master cheer tutor and junior coach Ashleigh Ive. Gemah also runs our Hip Hop Dance teams Artemis Phoenix and Phoenix Jv's, who place very highly at International competitions (including champions 2012, 13 &14). She runs classes with tight discipline, but a lot of fun and team building. Maximum of 20 members.
Stunt cheer is very gymnastic and requires skill, dedication and a desire to win!

Xtreme are a hard working Youth Level One squad who compete in regional and national championships. They are aged 6-12
They work hard weekly with coaches Gemah and Ashleigh- who are strict and runs a tight ship - but the team love their tough love - and winning as a result!
The team is co-ed - we have boys and girls. Cheer is a tough sport and dance discipline - we don't use pom poms, these dancers are athletes who train in gymnastics, stunts at height and are strong all round performers. To see how amazing you could feel in just three terms time - look at this video! It shows our old level one team after three terms hard work!
This is a level 1 team - for cheerleaders with little or no previous experience. Entry onto the team is by audition - you dont need to prepare anything, just join in a class!
The new team will compete in July 2017 with the senior Elite cheer team. This Level One team is open to dancers from age 6 - 12.
We also have a large senior team - members are as old as 24 and young as 11.
Cheerleaders are athletes who work super hard to put together fabulous routines, with stunts, gym and dance, and then take them to competitions throughout the UK.
All team members audition for their place by joining in a free trial class (no prep needed). There are between 12 and 20 team members in any year, and we perform at festivals, competitions and public events.
The team practice weekly at Birch Hill community Centre - a bright, safe and clean space where we can get everyone off to a great start in the Cheerleading goals!
Friday 4.30-6.30pm (first practice of the season 11th September 2015).
Birch Hill Community Centre
Free parking on site. The hall is next to the Aldi supermarket. Teas and coffees will be available in a cafe area on site for parents, and run by our fundraising committee (to fundraise for equiptment for the growing team, and to help team mates who struggle with costs).
Anyone offered a place on the team must be available for all competitions ( for the 2016/17 season - this will be June at Brighton and July at the Bournemouth Internationals. Future seasons when the team are ready, will mean roughly one competition a term). If even one member is unavailable - the whole team lose out.
The team work at Pinewood Gym before competitions on a Sunday. They also have free sessions in the summer holidays to introduce and try ut new members and work on core skills.
This class has a very strict uniform requirement. Students will be expected to purchase the required sports clothing and footwear before their first class as a member. Parents will be given a list of links to suppliers (where they can purchase directly). This uniform is non-negotiable - it is worn for health and safety reasons and children who come to class without the correct clothes and shoes will not be allowed to participate as they may hurt themselves or others. Parents should budget approximately £150 for the whole uniform (including a bespoke competition uniform required from Spring).
Other places we perform!
In 2014 the senior Elitie team traveled to Disney World in Florida where they performed as Zombies for the Halloween celebrations! They will have the chance to return to Disney in August 2016, and the new youth team will have the chance to join them (optional and rehearsals will be separate from classs times). We also take part in 'Lift Off' at South Hill Park most years, and in our own annual showcase.
