The Windsor Globe are looking for talented, multi rolling professional actors for their forthcoming ensemble outdoor production of Richard III. The WG is an annual festival, which takes place in Alexandra Gardens each summer, in our own pop-up open air theatre venue.
We require 5 actors male and female (any ethnicity, any gender, age 21-40) to join our company (who will be 8 in total). We would also like to hear from ASIAN actors (any gender, age 21-40) with some directing experience who would like to be mentored as assistant director on the show (as well as taking an acting role).
You must have experience of Shakespeare or performing complex text and acting in front of a camera. You must be a graduate of an established drama school, hold a relevant degree or have suitable professional experience.
Not only will you be required to play a number of parts you will be required to work as part of the team that run the pop up theatre, taking an additional production responsibility. You will be hard working and diligent. This work will include get ins and get outs each day (albeit from the same venue in the Alexandra Gardens in Windsor), and helping with the initial build and subsequent deconstruction of the theatre itself at the start and end of the project.
This is a new ACE funded launchpad for professional actors with a particular focus on performers that live in and around Windsor and Slough. Please see our website www.windsorglobe.co.uk for more details of past festivals, and like our FB page for updates.
Please submit a recent head shot, cover letter and CV (no more than 2 sides A4) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include a phone number and email address.
We will contact people individually for auditions, which will be on Thursday 13th June in Bracknell between 10am and 6pm.
Please note that rehearsals and auditions will take place in Bracknell and/or Windsor. Performances will all be in Windsor. If you are unable to travel to these locations you should not apply. Please factor in your travel times and costs and be realistic about this, there is no point in applying if you live too far away or do not have a base in the area.
