An open audition is one that is advertised in the trade press, or sent to us as an agent and labeled an Open Audition - this means that anybody is able to attend, whether or not they have an agent.  Anyone who is a member of the Artemis Agency will already have been submit for any relevant auditions privately, so do not need to apply for these themselves.

(Section 5(2)(a) of the Race Relations Act 1976 applies):    Do NOT contact Artemis direct about this please - go along to the audition.   ****OPEN AUDITIONS****BOYS FOR THE BODYGUARD UK TOUR   Producers Michael Harrison and David Ian are looking for boys to play the role of ‘Fletcher’ in the UK and Ireland tour of Thea Sharrock’s hit production, THE BODYGUARD.   ‘Fletcher’ is the son of superstar ‘Rachel Marron’, and the boys chosen for the role will need to be cheeky and charming, with a good energy, and be able to take direction. Full casting requirements below.    Since the production opened in the West End in December 2012, 15 boys have played the role of ‘Fletcher’ starring alongside Heather Headley, Beverly Knight and Alexandra Burke as ‘Rachel Marron’.    Based on Lawrence Kasdan’s 1992 Oscar nominated Warner Bros. film, THE BODYGUARD, which starred Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, was nominated for four Laurence Olivier Awards including Best New Musical and Best Set Design and won Best New Musical at the Whatsonstage Awards. The two year UK and Ireland tour will begin in Plymouth in February 2015.      Aged 9-11, unbroken voice, under 4 foot 10.  Black/African Caribbean /dual heritage. (Section 5(2)(a) of the Race Relations Act 1976 applies)   Strong acting, with a clear voice and an excellent singer. He will also need to dance.   Auditionees need to prepare to sing a verse and a chorus of the Jackson Five's I Want You Back, and bring a small passport sized photo. They must be accompanied by an adult.   The open audition will take place at 10.30am on Saturday 20 September 2014 at The Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church  235 Shaftesbury Avenue, LONDON WC2H 8EP.
